👨‍⚕️ About the Speaker:

Prof. Leon Moons is an interventional endoscopist specialized at endoscopic interventions in GI oncology, with a special focus on colorectal cancer. He is the founder and current chair of the Dutch T1 colorectal cancer (CRC) working group, aiming to improve case selection for en bloc excisions of early CRCs, development and evaluation of new local excision techniques such as endoscopic intermuscular dissection (EID) and extramuscular dissection (EMD), risk stratification, and designing and implementing new treatment strategies such as adjuvant chemoradiotherapy and active follow-up as alternative for completion surgery.
